A Permanent Solution for Missing Teeth

Dental implants are the gold standard to replace missing teeth and restore comfort with results that can last a lifetime.

Living with missing teeth can affect much more than your smile. It can make eating your favorite foods more difficult, change the way you speak, and even lead to bone loss in your jawbone over time.

A dental implant consists of a small titanium implant post that’s placed into the jawbone, where it naturally fuses with the bone over the next few months. Once healed, a small connector, called an abutment, connects the implant post to your custom replacement tooth, creating a stable, comfortable result that feels secure when you’re chewing, smiling, and speaking.

Is a Dental Implant Right for You?

You may be a candidate for dental implants if you:

  • Have one or more missing teeth, or need to replace multiple teeth at once
  • Have a loose or uncomfortable denture and are ready for new dentures that stay put
  • Want a permanent tooth replacement option instead of a removable bridge
  • Have adequate jaw bone density or are open to bone grafting to rebuild your jawbone
  • Want to restore your ability to chew, speak, and smile with confidence
  • Are in good general health

More than a new smile, it's a real improvement in daily life.

A Smile That Feels Natural

Dental implants are designed to look, feel, and function like your natural teeth. They stay securely in place, allowing you to smile, laugh, and speak with confidence without worrying about movement.

Enjoy the Foods You Love

Missing teeth can make chewing difficult and limit the foods you enjoy. Dental implants restore your biting strength, making it easier to eat comfortably and get back to enjoying your favorite foods with confidence.

Protect Your Jawbone

When a tooth is missing, the jawbone beneath it can gradually shrink. An implant post stimulates the bone the way a natural tooth root would, which prevents further bone loss and preserves your facial structure.

Long-Lasting Solution

With proper care—regular brushing and flossing you’d use for natural teeth—dental implants can last a lifetime. They’re one of the most reliable investments that gives you one less thing to think about for years to come.

Find the Right Implant Solution at Hillcrest Dental

Whether you're replacing one tooth or an entire arch, we'll help you find the right solution for your needs.

All-on-X / DreamSmile™ Dental Implants

Designed for patients missing most or all of their teeth, we strategically place four dental implant posts in the jawbone to replace an entire arch with fixed replacement teeth that provide a stable, comfortable, and long-lasting solution.
Teeth-in-a-Day
In many cases, we can place implant posts and attach a temporary set of teeth in just one appointment. You leave the same day, chewing and smiling with a functional, natural-looking result while your mouth heals for the final restoration.
Single Tooth Dental Implant
If you are missing just one tooth, a single implant post, abutment, and crown. Unlike traditional bridges, this solution restores a missing tooth without affecting the healthy teeth on either side for a seamless result that blends naturally with your smile.
Full-Arch Implant Dentures
Full-arch implant dentures come as fixed or removable. Fixed dentures are screwed permanently onto four to six implant posts per jaw, while removable dentures snap onto locator attachments, so you can take them out daily for cleaning.

The Dental Implant Process at Hillcrest Dental

We'll guide you through every step with comfort and confidence.
Step 1:
Consultation and Treatment Plan

Dr. Iraj Kasimi, Dr. Brian Navarro, Dr. Brakkon Garrett, or Dr. Malak Hamedian will examine your teeth, gums, and jawbone using digital imaging to check bone density and identify any extractions needed. Together, you will discuss a customized treatment plan based on your goals and oral health.

Step 2:
Implant Placement

During a scheduled appointment at our dental office, your dentist places the implant post into your jawbone. Sedation options are available for your comfort throughout the procedure. Over the next several months, the post fuses with your jawbone to create a stable foundation for your new tooth.

Step 3:
Your New Smile

Once healing is complete, your dentist attaches a custom-made crown, bridge, or denture to the implant post. The result is a natural-looking, long-lasting solution that restores your ability to chew, speak, and smile with confidence.

Modern Techniques for Better Dental Implant Results

Our advanced technologies support safer, more precise treatment.
  • CBCT Imaging
CBCT produces a detailed 3D image of your jawbone before surgery, so your dentist can plan implant placement with precision and support a safer procedure.
  • Digital Scanner (iTero)
Our digital scanner captures a precise 3D image of your mouth in minutes without messy impressions. It helps us design a crown that fits your bite correctly the first time.
  • Micron Mapper Photogrammetry
For full-arch cases, this technology captures accurate and comprehensive 3D images of your oral structures, so your prosthetic has the perfect fit needed for long-term success.
  • In-House 3D Printing
We fabricate surgical guides and temporary same-day dentures. That means fewer delays, a better fit, and, in qualifying cases, a same-day temporary tooth in just one visit.
  • Sedation Dentistry
Your comfort always comes first; that’s why we offer nitrous oxide sedation for qualifying procedures, to help anxious patients feel relaxed and at ease throughout treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dental Implants

Have questions about dental implants? We've answered the ones we hear most often to help you feel informed and confident.
  • Does getting a dental implant hurt?
Most patients are surprised by how comfortable the procedure is. We use local anesthesia, and for anxious patients, sedation may be recommended to help you stay relaxed throughout your appointment. Most patients experience only mild discomfort during recovery.
  • How long does it take to recover from dental implant surgery?
Most patients return to normal activities, including light chewing, within a few days, though the implant post needs several months to fully fuse with the jaw bone before the final crown is placed.
  • Will I be without teeth during the healing process?
Not usually. Depending on your treatment plan, you may receive teeth-in-a-Day with a temporary crown or denture, so you are not left without teeth while your implant heals.
  • Do dental implants require special care?
Implants need the same proper care as natural teeth: regular brushing, flossing, and regular cleanings and checkups with your dentist to protect your gums and oral health, just like caring for permanent teeth and dentures alike.
  • Does insurance cover dental implants?
Coverage varies by plan. Some PPO insurance plans cover part of the cost, while others do not cover implants at all. We accept most major PPO plans and will help you understand what your insurance covers before you begin treatment.
  • How long does the Teeth-in-a-Day procedure take?
The Teeth-in-a-Day procedure typically takes several hours, during which we place the implants and attach temporary, fully functional teeth. You’ll leave our office with a new smile the same day, while your permanent teeth are being fabricated.
